At the Faculty of Computer Science, the University of Vienna seeks to appoint a Visiting Professor of Communication Technologies (full time, limited to a period of 2 years, to fill as soon as possible) The position: We are looking for an outstanding computer scientist with an appropriate track record in the area of future communication networks to join us as visiting professor. Research focus areas of interest include, but are not limited to: theory of communication networks, architecture and protocols of communication networks (including wireless and mobile networks), network resilience and sustainability, future-oriented application scenarios of communication networks. The Faculty of Computer Science provides an excellent research environment and many opportunities for fruitful cooperation, for example, with research groups in security, algorithms or machine learning. The successful candidate will teach in our Computer Science programs, in particular contributing to courses on networks and networking technologies, and will also supervise students.
