Job Description

Lead the design and architecture of software and systems throughout the project lifecycle for safety-critical railway systems.
Serve as a technical expert, crafting system architectures that align with customer needs.
Develop solution architectures by balancing stakeholder expectations, technical and technological options, and considerations of cost, risk, and schedule, in collaboration with project management.
Ensure compliance with both functional and non-functional requirements (safety, reliability, security, etc.).
Collaborate within an international, agile team and coordinate with other business line units.

The Successful Applicant

Technical education (FH, University) in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in full lifecycle software development and system architecture.
Experience in safety-critical industrial contexts, particularly in transportation.
Experience in a Linux working environment.
Experience with container technologies.
Proficiency in distributed systems, real-time systems, and fault-tolerant systems.
Familiarity with private/public cloud environments (OpenStack).
Certifications in software/system architecture are an advantage.
Experience working in an international context (multi-unit/multi-site) is beneficial.
Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus.
Innovative, adaptable, and customer-focused team player.
Fluency in German and English is essential.
