Responsibilities

Contribute to research in the field of big data processing
Develop efficient algorithms and architectures to address ingest and real-time processing of massive amounts of data, for example, for anomaly detection
Bridge academic research and commercial technology development: Collaborate with our development teams and other internal and external stakeholders
Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

Minimum Requirements

MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
Strong interest in performance and resource optimization as well as in algorithm development for indexing, pattern matching, sketching, query optimization
Experience with real-world projects in the area of big data processing
5+ years of experience in Java development, including architectural design
Experience with Kafka, Spark, Lucene, or related technologies
Familiarity with test-driven development, clean code, and design patterns
Enjoy passing on knowledge and experience to fellow team members
Excited to learn new technologies
Excellent English skills (oral and written)
